At Harris Assembly, we ensure our employees are properly trained and qualified through a dynamic and continuously evolving training program tailored to both our core principles and current production requirements.

All Harris Production Technicians are trained and certified to the latest revision of the IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard, established by the Global Electronics Association. Our soldering department receives specialized training and certification to the current revision of IPC J-STD-001, ensuring the highest quality and reliability in soldered electrical and electronic assemblies.

The entire Harris team, regardless of job duties, is regularly trained with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure competency on a range of critical topics including:

  • Quality Management System Principals – ISO 9001 and AS 9100 QMS
  • Ethics
  • Cybersecurity
  • Workplace Safety – OSHA topics, Forklift Training, etc.
  • Counterfeit Parts Prevention
  • ITAR Regulations Compliance
  • Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Control
  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Awareness and Mitigation

We also provide classroom. e-learning and on-the-job training tailored to address task/role specific, part-specific, and industry or customer required training. This flexible approach ensures that our workforce remains competent and fully prepared to meet customer requirements and evolving production challenges.

To support this commitment, we have established clear quality standards aligned with both internal and customer requirements, as well as applicable industry standards. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) define and enforce standardized production processes to minimize variation and promote repeatable, reliable results.

Quality is verified through regular inspections, tests, and audits, including Receiving Inspection, First Piece Inspection, and Final Inspection, ensuring that only products meeting our stringent standards are delivered to customers.

At Harris Assembly, responsible sourcing is a critical component of our commitment to quality, compliance, and ethical business practices. We recognize that our suppliers play a vital role in our ability to deliver high-quality products on time, and we manage these partnerships with care and diligence.
All materials are sourced exclusively from suppliers on the Harris Approved Vendor List (AVL). These vendors are pre-screened and their performance is continually monitored to ensure compliance with our quality standards and delivery expectations.

Harris complies with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to:

  • Buy American Act (BAA)
  • Conflict Minerals Compliance- 3TG
  • REACH/RoHS
  • ITAR/EAR regulations, when applicable

Our approach to responsible sourcing is also guided by the Harris Supplier Quality Manual and Quality Clauses, which emphasize key principles such as:
