Process Engineering and Optimization: The Harris Engineering team defines, documents, and optimizes the manufacturing processes required to produce the customer's design effectively by selecting appropriate tools, creating work instructions, and ensuring process repeatability and efficiency.
-
Manufacturing Feasibility Analysis: Harris performs a thorough "contract review" and manufacturing feasibility assessment. Our engineers review customer design data to identify potential production risks, suggest material alternatives within the customer's design parameters, and propose process improvements that do not alter the form, fit, or function of our customers product.
-
Tooling and Fixture Design: Harris engineering may design and build the specialized tooling, jigs, and fixtures necessary to hold the customer's part during manufacturing and inspection, provided these designs do not affect our customers final product design specifications.
-
Configuration Management Support: The Harris engineering team manages, controls and verifies for current revisions, customer-provided technical data, (prints, drawings, etc.) ensuring that all manufacturing activities align with the latest customer-approved revisions and specifications.
*Note: Harris does not perform design authority or design control, approve design deviations, or make changes to the product specification without formal approval from the customer.
